Career Development Events
There are 25 Career Development Events FFA members can participate in on the local, district, state and some on the national level. CDEs typically cover technical skill areas related to agriculture, food and natural resources career field.
District and State Events
District events are organized within each FFA district, and some are held collaboratively with regional sites. Check with your District NAEA Board representative to learn more about the district events, and check out the District Dates and Information page for additional information.
The majority of the State CDEs are hosted and coordinated by UNL’s CASNR and occur during the Nebraska State FFA Convention each spring. There are some additional CDEs that happen at other times and locations throughout the year.
State winning CDE teams in areas that are national qualifying earn the privilege of competing at the National FFA CDEs each fall.
