Citizen Science and Environmental Education Showcase: Empowering Youth, Inspiring Civic Action

Join us as 25 distinguished educators from around Nebraska present their innovative methods for guiding students to understand the impact of water quality on public health, environmental issues on local communities, and pathways for active youth civic engagement. Additionally, 25 public health scientists and community organizers will showcase initiatives promoting environmental awareness and fostering active youth citizenship. The showcases will feature a variety of materials, including curriculum resources, student projects, teacher testimonials, and data illustrating project impact.
Scientists and public health officials will also provide insights into the scale of how environmental factors impact Nebraskans’ health.

● 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Educator Showcase
● 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm Lunch
● 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm Community Showcase
● 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm Final Reflections
