Agriscience Fair

The purpose of the Nebraska FFA Agriscience Fair is to build awareness of science through research of current and diverse agricultural issues and to cultivate career readiness skills through the interaction of students, educators, the public and the research community.

Overview

The Agriscience Fair is for FFA members in grades 7-12.
Participation begins at the local level and can progress to the state and national levels.

Dates and Deadlines

February 14, 2025, Noon CST:
Agriscience Fair applications due and submitted through the AET.

February 21, 2025:
Agriscience Fair applications will be reviewed. ASF applicants earning a minimum score of 55 on the report, as determined by the review teams using the prequalifying rubric, will advance to the on-site Nebraska FFA Agriscience Fair during state convention. Agriscience Fair Categories/Pathways and Divisions

Students can compete in the agriscience fair in one of six categories/pathways:

  • Animal Systems
  • Environmental Services/Natural Resource Systems
  • Food Products and Processing Systems
  • Plant Systems
  • Power, Structural and Technical Systems
  • Social Science

Students can compete in the national agriscience fair as an individual or with a team:

  • 1 – Individual member in grades 7 and 8
  • 2 – Team of two members in grades 7 and 8
  • 3 – Individual member in grades 9 and 10
  • 4 – Team of two members in grades 9 and 10
  • 5 – Individual member in grades 11 and 12
  • 6 – Team of two members in grades 11 and 12

The Nebraska FFA Association is financially supported through the Nebraska Center for Student Leadership and Extended Learning at the Nebraska Department of Education. Support for programs is partially provided through the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, administered through the Nebraska Department of Education. However, the contents do not necessarily represent the policy of the United States Department of Education, and you should not assume endorsement by the Federal Government.
